Mission Statement

The primary purpose of Redeemer Foundation is to provide funds for the education and training of seminarians and other students who will serve Christian congregations and proclaim the Word of God to tomorrow's Christians. We invite you to learn more about our history, how to become a donor, and how to apply for a grant.

Application

While preferences for funding is given to members of Redeemer, anyone in an educational program who is preparing for full-time or part-time Christian ministry to serve congregations is encouraged to apply. Submit the Redeemer Foundation Grant Application along with any supporting materials to: Redeemer Foundation; 61 Mississippi St. NE; Fridley, MN 55432.

Donations

As tuition prices increase, Redeemer Foundation seeks to give scholarships to more students. It relies on the generosity of donors and is always open to financial gifts. Checks should be made payable to "Redeemer Foundation" and sent to Redeemer Foundation; 61 Mississippi Street NE; Fridley, MN 55432 or dropped onsite at Redeemer Church in the offering box.

Note that Redeemer Foundation is legally separate from Redeemer. Though it is primarily supported by gifts from members of the church, it maintains its own funds.

History

Redeemer Foundation was established in June 1989 after Redeemer received a gift from the Estate of Clarence Christensen. With subsequent gifts such as memorials, special giving, and estate giving, the fund has grown to over $269,000. The principal amount of the fund is invested with the earned interest available for scholarships. To date, funds have been granted to over 20 seminarians.
