Beginning after Ash Wednesday, Lent is a time to prepare as we walk together to Easter. Traditionally, there are four disciplines associated with preparation: prayer, self-examination (examen), fasting, and almsgiving (giving to neighbors in need). Over the course of the five weeks of Lent, we invite you to practice these disciplines and to prepare for Easter together as we actively get our bodies, our minds, an dour souls ready. LET’S WALK.

In the church it is very easy to talk about religion because that is what we are all about. But it is very tough to talk about politics. Why? Because the church is filled with people who have different political viewpoints. But whenever something Jesus says intersects with something we're wrestling with in culture, we should talk about it. In this two part series we discover that Jesus’ words are extraordinarily relevant with everything that's happening in our nation right now. On the first Tuesday in November one political candidate will win, but the church wins or loses, the community wins or loses, based on how we love each other every day between now and then. Jesus’ words were very clear, we must not allow anything or anyone to divide us.
