What To ExpectFirst of all, come as you are. If you like to wear your best pair of slacks, by all means. If you prefer jeans and your slippers, you won't be judged. Most people here dress casual-feel freedom to come as you are.
Two styles of worship:
These services incorporate live, upbeat music led by a worship team/band with guitars, drums, keyboards, and occasionally even the bongos—as well as more intimate songs of worship. There is little to no traditional liturgy, robes, or reciting things you don't know. The contemporary worship service exemplifies the freedom of expression we have through Jesus Christ.
These services contain traditional Lutheran liturgy directed by a service-leader, hymns lead by an organist, and on occasion, songs performed by the Redeemer Choir. The traditional worship service is bursting with centuries of beautiful heritage and reverance for God brought through words and times of silence.
The Message (sermon):
Every weekend, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on the Bible and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. While we recognize that listening to a sermon won’t change your life, we hope it will at least give another opportunity for God to take what we say and speak to you in a way only He can. The same sermon is given in all services on any given Sunday.
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives, and allowing us to continue to do ministry for our members and communities.
On the first weekend of each month, we gather at the Lord's table. Anyone who has a living relationship with Jesus Christ and believes Christ is truly present in the meal is invited to come. We believe the bread and wine are the body and blood of Christ given to us for our forgiveness and comfort, uniting us to Christ and one another.
Sunday School & Childcare
Each of our campuses offers quality children’s programs during the services from birth to grade 5:
Infants and toddlers are always welcome at worship services, however a
well-equipped nursery is available during our weekend worship service
schedule so you can focus your attention to the pastor’s message.
Kids ages 3 through grade 5 are encouraged to participate in Cornerstone
Kids Class. Each week kids have the opportunity to begin worship with their
families. They are dismissed to class where the kids participate in age-
appropriate lessons and small groups. Your children will have a great time
learning during these fun-packed sessions. Cornerstone Kids Class is
offered both during the school year and during the summer.
We encourage youth ages grade 6 and up to participate in weekly worship
services with you and to get involved in youth community life at Redeemer
during the week.
