What To ExpectWelcome. We're glad you're here.
At Redeemer we consider ourselves one family. Regardless of the campus you attend, you can expect to be greeted with a warm environment and authentic people. You'll find lobbies with a welcome center, coffee and goodies, loving care for your littlest ones, and fellowship for all ages. No matter where you're at on life's journey, Redeemer will encourage, support, inspire and challenge you. Redeemer offers two locations for weekend worship—Coon Rapids and Fridley. Every weekend, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message based on the Bible and designed to be helpful in your everyday life. While we recognize that listening to a message won’t change your life, we hope it will at least give another opportunity for God to take what we say and speak to you in a way only He can. The same message is given in all services any given weekend. We value families worshipping together; children join their families at the beginning of the worship service and are dismissed before the message to programming for specially designed for them.
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives, and allowing us to continue to do ministry for our members and communities.
What to expect:
Message are relevant, straightforward and based on the Bible, designed to be helpful in your everyday life. Listen to past messages online. Come in business casual or jeans—it doesn't matter, you won't be judged. We're just happy you're here. Volunteers will welcome you and answer any questions you have. We provide well-equipped loving care for infants and toddlers and fun-packed programming for kids ages 3 to grade 5.
Styles of worship:
Redeemer offers two styles of worship. Our contemporary services incorporate live, upbeat music led by a worship team/band with guitars, drums, keyboards, and occasionally even the bongos—as well as more intimate songs of worship. There is little to no traditional liturgy, robes, or reciting things you may not know. The contemporary worship service exemplifies the freedom of expression we have through Jesus Christ. Our traditional services contain traditional Lutheran liturgy directed by a service-leader, hymns led by an organist, and on occasion, songs performed by the Redeemer Choir. The traditional worship service is bursting with centuries of beautiful heritage and reverance for God brought through words and times of silence.
On the first weekend of each month, we gather at the Lord's table. Anyone who has a living relationship with Jesus Christ and believes Christ is truly present in the meal is invited to come. We believe the bread and wine are the body and blood of Christ given to us for our forgiveness and comfort, uniting us to Christ and one another.
